Quilting with Scraps

Quilting with Scraps is a lot of fun!

Today, I found a video on making a card with 1-1/4' squares using the Mosaic Mood DSP. I also used a Crushed Curry card base, the Tin Tile embossing folder, the Story Label punch, and the Label Me Lovely punch. The sentiment is from the So Sentimental Stamp set. Here's the recipe:
Cut out a 51/2" x 11" card base and score at 4 1/4'
Cut a Whisper White layer of 4" x 51/4"
Cut a qty of 10 squares out of a DSP of your choice that are 1-1/4" x 1-1/4". For this card the Mosaic Mood DSP was used. I chose this pattern because it goes so well with stamps from the Memorable Mosaic cling stamp set. I bought the whole Mosaic Mood Suite as it all is just a lot of fun!

Punch out a scrap piece of Crushed Curry with the Label Me Lovely punch. Stamp Sending Healing Hugs from the So Sentimental stamp wet with black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White and punch that out with the Story Label punch.

Attach the squares in a nice pattern onto the Whisper White layer using the adhesive of your choice. Run this layer through the Big Shot using the Tin Tile embossing folder. you can then run the punched out Crushed Curry label with the same Tin Tile embossing folder.

I also did a 4' x 51/4" DSP layer with the Tin Tile embossing folder for an inside layer along with a 3-3/4" x 5" Whisper White layer for the inside of the card. I used images from the Memorable Mosaic stamp set to decorate the inside.

Finish everything up by layering as seen in the finished product photo. I used Snail for everything except the top label with the sentiment stamped on it. For this, I used Tombow liquid glue because I wanted some wiggle room.
