A Galaxy of Bermuda Bay Pigment Sprinkles

Have you tried the Pigment Sprinkles? They are item #149663 in the Annual catalog for a reasonable price of $23.00. They seem to last forever!

Pigment sprinkles are watercolor pigment crystals. There are six jars of 1 each of 6 colors. the colors are: Bermuda Bay, daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody, and Melon Mambo.

Sprinkle the powder on a card, add water, and presto! you have a brilliant display of color.

My card was made with the Bermuda Bay pigment sprinkles. Here's the recipe:

Cut out a Black 51/2" x 11" card base and score at 4 1/4'
Cut a Costal Cabana layer of 4" x 51/4"
I used Shimmery White cardstock (Item #101910) for the next layer. I use this or Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (Item #149612) when I'm doing any type of watercoloring.

The first thing I did was to take the Costal Cabana ink pad and I sponged the watercolor layer for a light background.

I sprinkled the color on the layer but I got a little carried away and it was more like "dumping" than "sprinkling". I shrugged and decided to move forward with what I had to see what I would get.

After spraying the powder with my Stampin' Spritzer (Item #126185), I decided that I liked it! I liked the darker areas and the overall design. I also liked what the spritzed water did to the sponged on background layer.

The next step was to adhere adhesive paper over the full layer and then apply glitter all over.

I created the label with the Label Me Lovely punch and the Stargazing Cling Stamp Set (Item #149295). The bling is from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Item #150457).

If you have any questions about this card please feel free to contact me or post here. I love to help.
